We are looking to expand our development team spread across Malaysia and Hyderabad studio. During the current period of Covid related lockdown, this will start as a remote position, but transition to onsite when the office reopens in respective countries. Lead Pipeline Developer

# Lighting Artist

- Experience using Maya, Nuke, Arnold and or Redshift.
- Solid understanding of a VFX lighting production pipeline.

- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Must have the ability to precomp shots.
- Hands on knowledge in lookdev and comp will be a huge plus.

Lighting Artist

# Position Summary
We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Senior Animator to join our team. Our Animators will be doing character animation (body animation as well as lip synch). In addition to this you might also need to create camera motion, move inanimate objects , animatics which include layout and rough blocking for previsualization purposes. 
Note - Covid 19 pandemic has made it necessary for Tau Films(all locations) to shift our operations entirely to remote work platforms for the time being.  

## Expected Skills and Experience
- Strong traditional art skills (drawing, painting, or sculpture, etc.)
- Should be trained in classical animation or have exp. in Classical animation.
- Experience using Maya & solid understanding of animation production pipelines
- Good acting skills / basic training in acting.
- Knowledge of using Mocap data & experience in stop motion animation.
- Clear understanding of rigging fundamentals.
- Experience in a production environment as Character Animator / Facial Animator.
- Previous experience animating in feature film, commercials or animation production - ideally realistic creatures or characters
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal) to work well in a team and take direction from clients, directors etc.

## Key Responsibilities:
- Animating realistic and stylised Characters and Creatures for VFX and full CG projects.
- Responsible for producing high-quality realistic and stylised animation for our projects. 
- Help deliver projects of varying visual style, photo -real or non-photo-realistic looks.
- Mentor the junior artists, new hires in the team with knowledge sharing sessions done periodically.
- Participate in R&D before every project and contribute in the overall development of dept.

## Regarding Demo Reels
- Demo reels should showcase your understanding of animation principles such as squash-and-stretch, overlapping action, anticipation, follow-through, weight, timing, etc.
- Demonstrate acting skills, Lip-syncing examples are also helpful in addition to walk cycles and life drawings.
- Reel should demonstrate diversity in animation styles, ranging from highly realistic motion to a more exaggerated "cartoony" style.

# Position Summary
We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Senior Lighter with experience working in the Film & Entertainment industry to join our creative team. We need a versatile and innovative artist motivated to grow with the team. To be able to work with teams and talented digital artists across the globe sharing knowledge & delivering international levels of quality.

## Experience & Essential Skills Expected
- Needed 5+ years minimum of previous experience in Lighting and Rendering CG for advertising, feature film or animation production.
- Experience using Maya with Arnold/Redshift.
- Solid understanding of a VFX lighting production pipeline
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Applicant must have the ability to precomp shots.
- Hands on knowledge in lookdev and comp will be a plus.
- Knowledge of photography & color theory.
- Knowledge in scripting and writing tools will be a huge plus
- Working knowledge of unreal engine will be of advantage
- Good communication skills (both written, verbal) to enable you to work well with international teams.

Senior Lighting Artist

# Position Summary:
Tau Films is currently looking for a talented and experienced Modeler to join our creative team. This profile would be suitable for an applicant who is a team player, solution oriented & making recommendations to improve the modeling processes. The right person should possess the ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of common design components that make aesthetically pleasing models, i.e. balance, composition, shape/form, rhythm, etc.

# Responsibilities:
- Create a variety of complex realistic models, including props and environments, as well as basic characters.
- Demonstrate knowledge of character anatomy & understanding of design fundamentals/principles preparing and installing models for production.
- He/She will be responsible for Sculpting the characters and props.
- He/She will be responsible for blendshapes, retopology & UV layout.
- Basic knowledge of image lineup and camera tracking would be needed.
- Display versatility in their ability to create a wide range of models from hard-edged to organic shapes.
- Demonstrate understanding of basic Unix commands/navigation.
- To create models that align with artistic design/style of film; interpret art reference/art direction.
- He/She should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and install technically clean models for production.
- To be able to troubleshoot technical and creative problems.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking in various modeling approaches and apply tools effectively and creatively to models.
- Familiarity with the design rules and themes of the film currently assigned to and how to best apply them.

# Experience & Essential Skills Expected:
- 4+ years of industry experience preferred.
- Applicants should show willingness to model characters and props and environments.
- Shows adaptability to new methods, techniques and tools, as well as adaptability to the show. production pipeline/environment.
- Need to have sound experience with Maya and zbrush software.
- Knowledge of texturing,lookdev, and grooming will be an advantage
- Knowledge of any game engine is a plus.
- Understanding of programming languages (MEL, PERL, CSH) a plus.
- Preferred  knowledge of pipeline techniques, i.e. working with Makefiles, use of percs, moving/renaming files, and troubleshooting for other departments.
- Understands the technical requirements of each model and how technical modeling decisions relate to other departments.
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to hone own technical and creative skills
- Applicants should possess willingness to take direction/feedback & adhere to assignment deadlines.
- Good people skills; team player and a high level of professionalism.
